Superb place value resource

This pack of base ten is just like the place value equipment used in most primary schools. The included thousands block, hundreds, tens and ones are superb for so many activities. They click together to make numbers as needed. Good quality plastic should last a good while. Enough in the pack to cover loads so good value too. Hard to fault. A good quality and essential maths class resource.

The blocks are sturdy and have held up well with daily use. They’re lightweight but durable, so I’m sure they’ll last a long time. The bright colors keep my kids interested. We’ve used them for everything from basic counting to more advanced math like multiplication and division.

Great for learning

These number blocks are a lot smaller than I was epecting and do not come with anything to keep them safe, so you will need to find a container of your own as it is very easy to lose the tiny pieces. They are great for helping with maths though they are smaller than I had hoped, so we have gone back to bigger blocks for now. The quality seems really good for the price.

The Base Ten Math Number Blocks are an excellent educational tool for young learners. These blocks make understanding basic math concepts like place value, addition, subtraction, and multiplication both fun and intuitive. The set includes unit cubes, rods, flats, and cubes, which are colour-coded and sized appropriately to represent ones, tens, hundreds, and thousands. This tactile approach helps children grasp abstract concepts by allowing them to physically manipulate and visualize numbers. The durable material ensures long-lasting use, making it a great investment for

Great for learning Units, Tens etc - but not much use outside of that

I have to admit, when these popped up I thought they were the counting cubes that you can separate all individually. Unfortunately, it is just a set of 10 individual cubes, 10 fixed rows to represent 10, 10 fixed rows and columns to represent 100 and a big block to represent 1000. Aside from showing the relationship between the numbers, I cannot think of any additional uses for these, so it is a lot of space to take up for just 1 lesson. I cannot fault them for their suitability for their purpose, but it's a very limited purpose.

Great learning resource

This base ten set is great. It comes with 1x 1000 cube, 10x 100 square blocks, 10x 10 square strips and a pack of 1 blocks. Each different quantity is a different colour and shape to help children learn number through objects and then eventually pictures. The cubes can stick together to help children build numbers and the quality of the whole set is great. This set is great for 1 or 2 children to share, it is not too big so it is also easy to store away. As a teacher, this is exactly what I use in school and they work perfectly for learning about number in a range of ways.

Place value

I am a teacher and use these manipulatives for teaching place value. This set is good for teaching place value up to thousands. Unfortunately there is only 1 thousand block, so you cannot go to any other thousand unless buying more. The set does make it easier for children to visualise place value and what the “7” in “70” actually represents (7 tens). It is a very good and simple way to explain place value to children. I would also say that the downfall is that if children are learning through white rose maths (a subscription teaching aid) then the colours of each place value block do not match up which may cause confusion - but it also may not. It depends on the child. Overall I would still recommend these as they’re a decent size and easy to handle and explain place value with.

This is a good base 10 set. You get a red 1x1000 cube, blue 10x100 square blocks, 10x10 green square strips and a pack of yellow 1 blocks. All are designed to help students understand value, counting and basic maths concepts like adding, subtracting and multiplying. They're really well made and they feel durable. The colours are engaging and they feel nice and light which is good for small hands to use. A great tool for learners of all ages, but especially younger ones. My kids love these.
